{"id":1485,"date":"2026-05-04T14:37:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T14:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afiptisp.org\/?page_id=1485"},"modified":"2026-05-04T14:37:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T14:37:12","slug":"history-of-afiptisp","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.afiptisp.org\/index.php\/en\/history-of-afiptisp\/","title":{"rendered":"History of AFIPTISP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> In 2014, AFIPTISP was officially registered in the<strong> National Register of Associations<\/strong> (Group: 1\/Section: 1\/National Number: 604669).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comprising experts from the academic world and translation and interpreting professionals, its main objective is to promote the recognition of Public Service Interpreting and Translation (PSIT) as a profession and, consequently, to contribute to improving its standing in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Participate<\/strong> in events that help to enhance the image of TISP and the professionals working in the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Defend<\/strong> the interests of professionals working in this field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promote<\/strong> training, reflection, research and the exchange of knowledge and materials;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Raise<\/strong> awareness among employees of public and private organisations and those responsible for their management regarding the role of the translator\/interpreter and their functions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organise<\/strong> activities, courses, seminars or conferences that promote continuing professional development in this field of study and related areas. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Publish<\/strong> relevant materials;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Establish<\/strong> relationships with other professional associations and related public and private bodies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Participate<\/strong> in events that help to enhance the image of TISP and the professionals working in the field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2014, AFIPTISP was officially registered in the National Register of Associations (Group: 1\/Section: 1\/National Number: 604669).
